Ceramic Metal Halide (CMH) or LEC lamps have a higher proportion of blues and reds than other high pressure sodium (HPS) or metal halide (MH) lamps. This makes the growth and flowering process of the plants more natural as the spectrum is more similar to sunlight.
The Newlite CMH LEC 315 W lamps are indicated for plants where a complete spectrometry is required. Due to their lower power, they are indicated for small growing areas or in laboratories, with 80 cm² per unit.
Their operation requires a special ballast for low frequency CMH LEC 315 W lamps to obtain the best performance, but they are also compatible with high frequency ballasts. CMH lamps should not controlled at powers other than those for which they have been designed.
This lamp is available in two different colour temperatures:
3000K: indicated for complete development processes when flowering is increased.
4200K: indicated for complete developments in which the vegetative and flowering stages are balanced.
They are both mixed lamps and can be used to perform the full cycle, from rooting or germination, to vegetation and flowering, from the start to the end of production.
CMH or LEC lamps offer a more homogeneous light spectrum than sodium lamps. This favours the improved development of the secondary metabolites; alkaloids, terpenes and phenols.
The Newlite CMH LEC 315 W lamps are installed on reflectors with PGZ18 lamp-holders or on E40 reflectors using an adapter.
